After many years exploring the realms of photography and literature, I was compelled to enroll in a 3 years Masters of Architecture program at The University of Pennsylvania. This Portfolio is a collection of my student work from September of 2007 until May of 2010. Moving forward I hope to expand the creative horizons of my various interests and manifestations - from djing to rock and roll singing, photography, drawing, writing, and beyond. Enjoy the possibilities.

Gregory Hurcomb

As a student of the Arts I have been involved with the creative disciplines of music, photography, writing, art making and design since 1994. Having studied Literature as an Undergraduate at Rutgers University and Photography at The International Center of Photography in New York, I have been exploring the connections between these diverse fields for many years. My recent foray into Architecture at The University of Pennsylvania has provided me with a Masters of Architecture further extending and expounding upon my interests through the means of a Professional degree. My current interests are within the design discipline exploring the intersections of fabrication, drawing, and construction techniques. I would like to be able to engage in thoughtful and diverse projects that merge and utilize my unique skill set, one developed through many years of study and experimentation.

possibly it is only at master' level that american student architects finally get to think what they are doing .. this seemingly bizarre portfolio has some very interesting colour work, use of light and space and ideas that are almost original (well, look at chartres) and useable .. keep at it you are on a very fascinating track
