A Celebration of the Granting of the Royal Charter to The Information Technologists' Company
by Edited by Christopher Histed
This book records the presentation on 17th June, 2010 by HRH Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex, of a Royal Charter to the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, the 100th City of London Livery Company.
Royal Charters are very special and only awarded to a few organisations which work for the public good and have longevity.
For the Information Technologists’ Company this marks an historic milestone.
The Company has made tremendous progress over the 25 years since its inception, with outstanding charitable and educational programmes and strong support for
the IT profession. The Royal Charter recognises these achievements and is
a source of encouragement for future endeavour.

Our members come from all sides of the IT sector - suppliers and users, hardware and software, and from established multinational companies to newly created start ups. Whatever their background all our members share a desire to give something back, to the sector and to the wider community.
