About the Book
What began with the intentions of being a cookbook turned out to be so much more during development. This book contains 17 authentic Mexican recipes from several sources including ourselves, friends and locals who have befriended us. From traditional Taco Stand Tacos to tortilla soup, all of our favorites can be found. As a professional photographer and writer, I utilized both skills to create a fun, thought provoking and hunger inducing book using photographs I have taken not only of many recipes included but of my experiences living here in Mexico. I volunteered at the local animal shelter as well as the orphanage and have included several images from both shoots. I was also fortunate enough to photograph a woman who lives in our village who makes tortillas from scratch EVERY MORNING. (see cover) We have also been keeping an active short story blog since the move and have included 5 of those stories as well.
This book will effect all the senses and will hopefully leave you wanting to return to it often.
