St Mary the Virgin Aldingbourne is an archive version of the book Aldingbourne St Mary the Virgin. Local historians may be interested in many of the 175 photographs taken during 2009/2010. The book will be developed in time to include information about the church.
The book contains a beautiful set of images of an English Church in West Sussex, 5 miles east of Chichester by road, south of the A27, near Arundel.
Aldingbourne is one of the larger parishes in England, about 6 miles long and 2 miles wide, and contains Norton, Nyton, part of Fontwell, Westergate, Woodgate, Lidsey and Aldingbourne.
The abridged version of this book Aldingbourne St Mary the Virgin is also available from blurb.com. It contains considerably less photographs than this book but at a lower price. However, most of the photographs in the abridged book are enlarged to fill the pages.
If you were baptised or married in St Mary's, the photographs will bring back many happy memories of the church at the centre of your community that has changed little over the last century.
Each book will produce a small profit all of which will go to St Mary's Church funds. Blurb has considerably increased its prices in 2010/2011.
