Hello Lori, thank you for your comment and sorry to reply so late. Yes, we were lucky in the Katmai area, on the other hand we had spotted only one whale, so you were more lucky in spotting whales. Especially you otter photos are very nice.
Concerning the santctuary outside of Whittier, we visited just the Wildlife Conservation Center in that are ans Chugach National park.
During our trip we also recorded a video, our approx. hourly film is very close to be finished. You can see a trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E54rMPnvZ-8

Beautiful photos.We were in Alaska in June, visited some of the same places. Love the bear photos. Did you visit the sanctuary outside of Whittier? The area looks familiar. We saw lots of otters, seals, eagles, whales; only 2 bears, 1 moose. Did'nt have a good day at Denali. Still it was a wonderful trip.
