This book aims to give an impression of the Appleby Horse Fair, the largest in Britain. It is a major gathering of the Romani and traveler communities. The photographs were taken during two visits - in 2008 and 2010.

Robert Akester is an amateur photographer. Having achieved the Licentiate Distinction of the Royal Photographic Society a few years ago. he is hoping to reach Associate standard at some stage. His main photographic interests are in landscapes, but wildlife and flowers come a close second.
