About the Book
Seen through the adoring eyes of artist photographer Christine Matthäi, "The Adventures of Puppy Schatzi" is a story about a young homeless Potcake—a name in The Bahamas for mixed breed strays who are mostly fed from the leftover food caked on the bottom of cooking pans. Puppy Schatzi embarks on a quest to find a Mommy who will love and care for her, encountering many natural island wonders and tropical wildlife along the way. A delightful tale for children of all ages, Puppy Schatzi—a name that means “Little Treasure”—gently shines light on the serious problem of unwanted and homeless animals, while reminding us that wishing with all your heart is the first step to making dreams come true. A portion of each book sale will be donated to support the important work of Humane Societies everywhere.
