This book was created in our collage class, at our home art studio, in Watertown, MA, between August 9 and August 13, 2010. With a nod to Eric Carle, we hand-painted our own papers and shaped them into collages with a special puzzle-piece style process. Using colored papers, each kid artist made all her own characters, objects and scenes, as well as helped to generate the ideas for everything. The story, too, was also kid-generated, although our creators needed help with phrasing at times.
