A small town in North Carolina was blessed to have two men who wanted to make a difference and they arranged to have a basketball camp for K-5th graders. Cooleemee's recreation had gone quiet and when Grimes Parker and Steve Fleming put their heads together, they helped fuel the much needed revival of the town.
The children's self esteem and confidence were changed for life and they all look forward to the next camp. One child refused to take their uniform off and slept in it while another had regulation goals put in the driveway so they could practice.
All profits from the sales of this book will help fund all future camps.

I'm a Cooleemee girl, always have been, always will be. I don't live there currently but I still love the streets I used to skip on. I volunteer my time and talent by writing a weekly column for the town of Cooleemee in the Davie County Enterprise Record. I wanted to create this book so I could give those kids what they deserve, create an awareness of this special town so they can be assured to have a camp every year. Camps help them to not only become a better athlete but also a better person.
