Bart Aldrich takes inspiration from a wide range of visual sources and creates lasting images noted for their vibrant colors and intimate details.
A dedicated film shooter for many years he now prefers shooting digital for the efficiency it brings to his workflow and the flexibility he gains in doing his own postproduction work.
Bart, who grew up in southern California lived in Hawaii for 15 years before relocating to Hong Kong in the early 90's. It was during the four years that he lived in Asia and while visiting more than a dozen southeast Asian countries that his passion for photography was rekindled. Working exclusively with film for over a decade he honed his eye for the heart of a location and it's native peoples.
Bart has since relocated to the scenic desert near Palm Springs California. Here he exhibits his work in 10-12 art shows a year and is within reach of a myriad of scenic locales around California and the great Southwest.
