Photos taken during the winter of 2009-2010 when the greater Washington, D.C. area had the largest snow accumulation in its history. It was also very cold and icy. The U.S. Federal Government was closed for 4 1/2 days because it was very difficult to get around with any kind of transportation.
I was a historian and social science researcher for the U.S. Federal Government and wrote books and articles on environmental topics. I am also the author of "Rhythm Vision" and "Oozing the Moon".

Thanks for you kind words on my Omani book ! Actually...this is still a trial copy . When I came back from Oman I couldn't resist making a quick book . Eventually it will be something like my Paris book , bigger and a lot more photo's . Re your remark on Koran burning , you'll like Oman, very civilised , open , friendly and laid back . The Government made all the right moves and they greeted me with the words 'nobody is going to cheat or threaten you here. Because we don't want to or need to. And I have to say it's really true.
