English :

This book presents a selection of 45 digital paintings created by CALI REZO in 2009 and 2010. (40 pages on premium paper).

For the past few years, Cali Rezo has been exploring the representation of subjects such as the human body, the portrait, the elusiveness of suspended moments, like snapshots of sensations. She favours the ephemeral in its poetic dimension, especially when it echoes oneirism, and childhood memories in their most intimate aspects.

The times we live in are a crossroads where all modes of creation meet: painting, photography, video, multimedia, the internet... Cali Rezo draws on all of those tools to create her own way: the application of traditional techniques such as drawing, construction, color, painting etc. to the computer. Hence the possible dismay of those who are expecting to see her either as a "true" painter (someone who gets her hands dirty in oil paints) or a multimedia graphist (such as those who only swear by virtual images). She is somewhere in between, as she creates her paintings on the computer with her pen tablet.
