In this book the artist shows some of his recent sculptures formed out of self-hardening clay and finished with oils. These figurative pieces are brutal, energetic and striking, yet all within range of the creative human capacity to unravel Thomson’s preoccupation with the characters that inhabit his imagination.
This book is available in two sizes.
Since the early eighties Douglas Thomson has had many solo exhibitions, mostly in European countries including Scotland, England, Germany and Switzerland, as well as exhibiting internationally in group exhibitions. He now lives in Scotland.
