About the Book
Bloody fingers - that's what happened to Jason Barwick, amazing guitar player of The Brew ... when children play!
Burg Herzberg Festival, Germany's big Traditional Hippie Convention (actually with performing bands from UK, USA, Germany, France, ...), started in 1968 (the year before Woodstock) and is still alive.
Photographer Frank Seifert captured the spirit of the festival 2010, motto "Let the children play!" including a lot of live performances and portrait-shots during backstage interviews (before or after the show), like Justin Sullivan /New Model Army, Roger Chapman, Osibisa, Archive, The Brew and Hawkwind.
Additional to these artists, which are captured live and backstage, there are additional live performances by Jeff Beck, Asaf Avidan & The Mojos (Israel), Lazuli (France), Nektar, The Vals, The Flying Eyes, Hazmat Modine, ... and many others.
Less colour and more contrasts is the photographic style all over the exciting musical journey..
All lyrics and words are in German language only - but the images should be understood everywhere in the world and words are only few.
