Welcome to the world of the Acorn People!
This book is a collection of photographs taken by artist Nancy Dickinson of a miniature civilization of people she began creating years ago and that she continues to build and develop today. Dickinson makes her acorn people and their artifacts from natural remnants she finds in the woods surrounding her studio…especially the acorns! Over the years she has created an entire acorn world, inhabited by scenes that describe a population free of modern technology, who live by simple means and with a deep sensitivity to the natural world. The photographs in this volume give a glimpse of this society from their daily chores and activities, to their recreation and their artistic ambitions.
Enjoy the current installment. There will be more books to come!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to see these absolutely gorgeous, intricate, inspiring dioramas in person the other day, and they are truly breathtaking. I am so excited to get the book!
