Hello My Little Poppy Seed is a love poem from a mother to her yet-born baby.

The book was conceived when my daughter, Amy, was pregnant with her first daughter, Madison. Amy would keep us updated on the stages of the baby's growth by comparing her size to different fruits. The initial words fell into place, but I didn't complete the poem until Amy was pregnant with our second granddaughter, Mia.

The artist, Jennifer Dzik, was introduced to us by one of Amy's co-workers. Her illustrations beautifully depict the awe, wonder and blessing of new life.
