About the Book
This book is a collection of my digital photomontages. A photomontage is a composited work of art created by combining photographs or parts of photographs. This art form can be traced back to the mid-nineteenth century. Graphic processing software like Adobe Photoshop has revolutionized photomontage. The photo artist now has much greater artistic control with many new creative options.
I photograph a wide variety of subjects including still lifes, cityscapes, landscapes and portraits. These digital photos are the building blocks of my photomontages. I am never quite sure which photos will be used, until I get into my digital studio. It is here that the photomontage comes to life and the magic begins.
