About the Creator
Margreet Faassen-Pijpers
Kralendijk, Bonaire, Dutch Antilles
Margreet Faassen-Pijpers was born in 1952 on the Dutch Antillean island of Curaçao. She completed her graphic design education in The Netherlands at Utrecht in 1968. After years working as an active artist, she pursued further study in early-childhood education and after graduating, worked for more than 12 years as a childcare professional. Her love for working with children, her passion for painting and her creative story writing are combined in the creation children books. In 2006, she moved to another of the ABC Islands, Bonaire, where the stories in her books unfold. All illustrations are painted by the author herself.
