Formally trained by world accredited painter Dave Archer, a master a reverse glass painting and the line drawing, I eagerly absorbed as much information as possible during the years that I would work beside him as his only invited student and close personal friend. Those days were pure magic, and I plan on releasing additional editions of Paintings on the Reverse Side of Glass in the near future.
For now, and possibly ever, I do not paint on glass. This is for several reasons. Number one, I don't have a great artist like David to work with and inspire me, and two, I don't have the space, not withstanding––the lacquer, which is a necessary component of creating this type of art is no longer available. Without the correct lacquer, glass painting is impossible.
Hopefully, this professional portfolio of 100 paintings on glass will be followed by twelve other books with the other 1,200 paintings on the reverse side of glass that are in storage in a climate-controlled building. I hope you enjoy my portfolio, and be sure and visit my website at vincentstone.com.
