This book was made to accompany a showing of 12 photographic portraits. A poem was written specifically for each of the portraits by the LAKE EFFECT POETS [Robin Chapman, Susan Elbe, Rasma Haidri, Catherine Jagoe, Jesse Lee Kercheval, Sara Parrell, Judith Strasser, Alison Townsend] then hand brailled onto the photographs for the visually impaired to read. BORDERLAND debuted at the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Madison, WI in December of 2009. The original photographs are 19" x 25".
