You won't have to flip through many pages of By the Early Light before you realize Don and Norman Kennedy are superb photographers who understand lighting, composition and layout. There's a fine variety of subjects here to enjoy, plus excellent prose.

The hardest thing about making a good photo book is pecking the right pictures. So many photos have your personal feeling connected.
