Ron Lucas is an adopted Bermudian who focusses on underwater photography. He specialises in reef portraits, especially fish photography.
In June 2008 his book "Bermuda Reef Portraits" was released by The Bermuda Zoological Society and became an instant "must have' book for residents and visitors interested in Bermuda Marine Life. Ron donated many of his best photos and wrote the book with the assistance of Judie Clee and others in the Bermuda Marine field. The Bermuda Zoological Society is the charity which supports the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo. In 2012 BZS published the Bermuda Reef Life HD app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch which features over 240 of his photos and an interactive buoyed dive site map.
He has self published several photo books recording the reef life on underwater travels to various dive destinations including Galapagos, Belize, St. Kitts, Statia and Saba, Little Cayman, Indonesia and Philippines. His latest book is Great Barrier Reef & Coral Sea.
