On January 8, 2010 a video camera was installed in the den of a three year old wild black bear called Lily in Ely, Minnesota.
On January 22nd Lily gave birth to an adorable female cub. HOPE.
On March 30th they left the den for good and started their new life together in the Northwoods.
This is the unforgettable story of Lily and Hope that thousands of people around the world were able to live, thanks to Dr. Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield of the Wildlife Research Institute, the North American Bear Center, Doug Hajicek, Sylvia Dolson, Wildearth, Pixcontroller Inc., White Wolf Entertainment and all the groups and companies involved in this fascinating wild ride project.
After reading this book you will never look at black bears in the same way as before. Drawing upon detailed daily updates written by animal researchers, Dr. Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield, who followed Lily and Hope from January 8 to June 29, 2010, the reader will get immersed in the wonderful world of black bears, having a unique chance to learn about their nature and behaviours in the wild through a riveting story that will move him/her deeply and bring both laughter and tears.
Better than a movie or a best-selling book, Lily & Hope will touch your heart and maybe also change your life.
