Dick Schlefer studied photography at the New School with Lisette Model and George Tice. He received an M.A. in Studio Arts from New York University. His work has been shown at White Columns and P.S. 122 in New York and Hallwalls in Buffalo, among many other galleries. His first book, TIMELINE: Views from a Speeding Train, documents the Amtrak line from Boston to Washington.
Dick lives in New York with his wife, the novelist Elaine Reidy.
