Born in Philadelphia PA Aneesah relocated to Baltimore MD at age nine. Her love for reading and poetry was fostered at a young age by her mother and aunt who exposed her to the works of Dr. Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni and Alice Walker just to name a few. Keeping a journal and writing poetry became her passion hoping to one day become a published author. With her mother's encouragment Aneesah developed her skills, and honed her talent by attending various creative writing classes. Today Aneesah continues to write and currently resides in Owings Mills MD where she is raising her two wonderful sons and working on completing her very first novel.
