In August 2009 Clive, Itchy & I set of to drive around Africa in 18 months. A year later we were enjoying travelling at our own, relaxed pace so much that we had only just reached Cape Town. We hadn't even 'done' South Africa yet!
A few months previously the decision had already been made to split the trip in half so, having left Itchy for a well deserved rest in South Africa, we are now home for a few months and will be returning to start the second half of the journey in March 2011.
This book is a copy of our blogs as we travelled through west and central Africa. Simply our personal record of the most amazing experience.
My husband, Clive, & I have decided that the time has come to travel. We have just finished the most wonderful 12 months driving to Cape Town through West and Central Africa in our Land Rover, Itchy. This photo book is the result of that trip.
We will be returning to Cape Town in 6 months to start the return journey home through East Africa... so there may well be a second book in a couple of years time.
