The Tip of the Brush tells the three stories and the artist's take behind a triptych that was painted on doors and shipped over 1,000 miles to it's destination.
Years ago, the artist had been told that no man could ever come to Christ by a piece of art and she was wasting her time. Not believing this, she spent her life making art to help people understand the truths in the Bible. Her brush has become her voice for sharing her beliefs.
And while painting this triptych, each night that the artist lay down to sleep, she saw the difficult areas painted for her by the tip of the brush in God's hand and she knew this art was right.
As an artist, Charlene Yoder is game for any challenge involving art that God throws her way. Reclaiming the arts to express the joy, wonder, and awe of God's Glory, setting artists free, and raising up young artists for Christ are part of her life's work. Originally from Goshen, Indiana, she moved with her husband, Lyndon to Sarasota, Florida to make Biblical sand sculptures. She opened an art gallery and sold Christian artwork, painted murals on interiors and exteriors and taught art lessons for nearly 10 years. Currently she has established a nonprofit and is in the trial stages of producing Bible studies incorporating drawing lessons.
