Over the course of seven summers, Robert Kriigel has captured fantastic images, colorful local stories, and some of the rich history of the "Last Frontier." He describes the journey along the 1,390 miles of the World Famous Alaska Highway, visits to coastal towns, and adventures at inland parks. Robert Kriigel

Robert utilized his photographic skills in his career as an Elementary and Junior High School Science Teacher with hundreds of his own slides of insects, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and trees. Robert’s award winning photographs has earned him several 1st place photographic awards including the covers of 20 magazines and books. Because of Robert’s keen eye for nature photography, Review and Herald Publishing Company chose three of Robert’s images for world-wide distribution for their church bulletin covers.

I received a copy at Christmas. I love the stories and the photographs of the bears and eagles are fantastic. It makes me want to start driving to Alaska right now!
