(Large hardcover, 13 x 11) Love Me Always, A Photographic Celebration of African-American Children From Birth to College, captures the playful lives of a brother and sister growing up from birth to the culminating achievement of their college graduation day. As part of the Snapshot Learning Series™, this book uses stunning images to delight and inform children of all ages about their own growth and development. The two other books in the series are How Are You Today, A Photographic Celebration of Children's Moods and Attitudes and What Can I Learn, A Photographic Celebration of Things Children Learn. All three books include a parent/teacher guide.
At a very young age, I can remember watching my mother read and write letters for my grandmother who was illiterate. As a child who loved to read, seeing someone in an illiterate condition made such an impression on me that I vowed I would always try to help people learn to read and enjoy books. Happily, I am able to fulfill my dream by creating my own series of children’s books. Being married to a professional photographer has provided me with a plethora of photographs of my children that I can use to illustrate my books. These books are a family affair, and as a teacher, they give me the opportunity to expand my educational reach beyond the classroom and pursue my passion to create a literate world.
