In the autumn of 2010 I took a fantastic roadtrip with my parents. We met up in Denver and drove a 2200-mile loop through central and soutwestern Colorado, through Utah to Monument Valley, and into Arizona and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It was a spectacular drive past colorful mining towns, non-stop fall foliage, and the beautiful redrock palette of the Southwest. We visited three other national parks- Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. We took an entertaining train ride through the mountains, and an off-road jeep ride through the buttes of Monument Valley. Amazing scenery and wonderful memories.
