Easter Island. The Cook Islands. Tahiti. All are magical places, made even more so by a total eclipse of the Sun. In July 2010, more than 420 TravelQuest travelers journeyed to the south Pacific to stand in the shadow of the Moon for up to four minutes. "Eclipse 2010" is their story. It is a unique, 106-page, soft- or hardcover book containing more than 200 color images and 30 fascinating stories — about the delights of the Cook Islands, the joys of cruising on the m/s Paul Gauguin, the beauty of Tahiti, the mysteries of Easter Island, and the solar eclipse of July 11, 2010 — written by 34 TravelQuest travelers.
Paul is an astronomy trip leader with TravelQuest International and has journeyed to Easter Island, China, Turkey, and other exotic locales to stand in the shadow of the Moon. He also leads TravelQuest's Iceland aurora-watching tours.
