8"x10" book of 39 hand-colored pinhole photographs that tell the story of a woman and her swans. All images were made in a Quaker Oats box converted to a pinhole camera.
—Nancy Spencer and Eric Renner are co-directors of Pinhole Resource, a nonprofit pinhole photography archive and educational institution dedicated to sharing information about pinhole photography. Spencer and Renner were co-editors of "Pinhole Journal", published from 1985-2006. They give lectures and workshops internationally. Their photographs are exhibited internationally and collected in major museums throughout the world, including the Museum of Modern Art, the California Museum of Photography, the National Gallery of Canada, George Eastman House, and Bibliothéque Nationale. Spencer is the author of "Under the Blue" (Flying Monkey Press, 2008,) and "Flight " (with Rebecca Wackler, Flying Monkey Press, 2008). Renner is the author of "Pinhole Photography: Rediscovering a Historic Technique" (Focal Press, 1995; Fourth Edition, 2008) and "American Disguise" (Flying Monkey Press, 2007). Spencer and Renner live in the Mimbres Valley, New Mexico, inside a pinhole camera.
