PATENT PENDING is not just a term used to describe a patent that awaits approval by the government. For an invention to succeed, to really break out, it needs to be practical, innovative, and unique. In other words, it must capture the imagination of the public; the people who it will impact. In a sense, these patents aren’t waiting for government vindication (they already have it) but in terms of acceptance by the public, they are still pending.
