This is a collaboration between myself and my client/friend Rhonda Brown, who also goes by the name "Kay" in the poetic works that accompany this book. It was an adventuresome endeavor of several photo shoots in and around Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada over the months of October and November of 2010. The purpose of this photo documentary, as explained to me, was to mark her 50th year on this planet by capturing facets of her life in interesting places. Rhonda wanted something special and non-typical, so I was pleased that she chose me to help her realize her intent. This effort is my interpretation of her vision. After several scouting trips and discussions she felt comfortable in giving me creative liberties to utilize my artistic abilities as I saw fit. My goal was to create each image to be able to stand on its own, independent of the collection or work as a whole. I believe I achieved that goal.

And yes, I did check her I.D. Barring a VERY good forgery, she IS 50 years old.
