Collaboration project by Mayumi Hamanaka, Hiroyo Kaneko and Satoshi Nakashima
Bay area photographers/artists Mayumi Hamanaka and Hiroyo Kaneko, and Satoshi Nakashima, an artist and visual anthropology scholar working in Japan, collaborate on a trans-Pacific photographic project. Mayumi lives and works in Oakland and Hiroyo during October and November 2010 was working in Tokyo. Satoshi, who also lives and works in Tokyo, functions as a mid-point transceiver with noise or a radio station between these two artists separated by 7500 miles.
