BRIDGETOWN: Hobe Sound began in 2008 as a “series on a subject” project for which I originally shot the decorative fish that accent the corner wall water fountains. From there the project expanded to include other external design elements, outer courtyards, lighting and landscaping. Those early pictures were published in black and white to accent the beauty of Bridgetown’s lighting and texture.
After the book received some publicity, interest was expressed in seeing a full color version. You hold the results of that request in your hand. I’ve added photographs of the inner courtyards of several residents who wished to remain unnamed but were kind enough to allow me and my camera inside. Much of the rest of the book includes the subjects of those original sessions. You’ll be glad to know the fish are still included.
