This 150 page photographic essay looks at many of the amazing, strange and beautiful sea creatures that live in and around the Southern California ocean. From nudibranchs to blue whales, the marine life off iconic Southern California beaches, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Catalina and the Channel Islands are represented with colorful photos taken over the last 25 years by Randy Harwood.
Randy Harwood has been SCUBA diving and photographing wildlife above and below the oceans' surfaces for more than 25 years. His travels have led him to many beautiful locales around the globe . He also has a general dental practice in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County, in California, where he has been in practice since 1978. His wife, Deanna, is an environmental attorney working for NOAA and specializing in the Endangered Species Act. They reside on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
