Michael Alvis lived and worked in Omiya, Japan for 6 years teaching English at Saitama YMCA (1988–1993) & Fujimi Junior High School (1995–1996).
This book is a small collection of photographs made in those years on Fujichrome film with Nikon cameras.

Michael Alvis is a photographer who enjoys exploring many places with his camera. He has traveled to Canada, Mexico, South Korea, and all 50 states in the USA. He lived and worked in Saitama, Japan for 6 years. He enjoys travel, eating sushi, reading, and watching films.
He is an adjunct art instructor at Carson-Newman University.
