About the Book
The book is a photo journey through Everglades National Park. It covers the trails and boardwalks in the main park area from Coe Visitors Center to Flamingo. It also covers Shark Valley, both the tram tour and walking paths.
Many alligators, birds, trees, plants, and beautiful scenery photos are included in the book. The photos were taken over the past several winters.
It is hoped that the reader will gain a better understanding of the area and the fragile eco system of the Everglades.
I am a retired special education teacher. I have been taking photographs since childhood. My parents were avid photographers, so I guess I came by it naturally. Using a digital camera allows me to take as many pictures as I like and then select the best. Closeups are my favorite shots. I have been doing computer generated photo scrapbooks to document trips, my dogs, and special occasions for years. After being urged by my friends, I finally decided to do a book. I know that I will do others in the future. I like the creative experience that it affords.
