Born and raised in Wisconsin, Elise LaViolette has been attempting to capture the beauty she sees in the world for 5 years. Elise spent her years of higher education at Cottey College in Nevada, MO as well as Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. At Salem, she recieved her B.A. in Studio Arts with a concentration in oil painting. Elise works in several medias, including collage, pen and ink, and found objects, but her favorite has always been photography. Her passion for it lead her to start Ruby Sting Photography.
