One mans junk . . .
Explorations of a junk shop
It always surprises me the things that people throw away, often for little or no money at all.
Items that were once loved, are now discarded and replaced.
In the curiosity shop they take on a unique grace, showing their history in their imperfections. They have untold stories, never known, stories you are left to imagine.
Lying in wait for someone else to pick them up, to love them again, to make them useful, to give them a purpose.
I could never have enough space or money for all the items I admire in the shop and so take photos of them instead.
One mans junk is indeed another mans treasure.
