Hello, I am Chris Plante. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Art and photography has always played a role in my life since his childhood. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic from my parents. I only used it on vacations and maybe a birthday party or two. My main creative outlet during my childhood and early adult years was cartooning and illustration.
In 2007, I got my first dSLR, a Nikon D200, which I still use today. Now I am totally addicted to anything about photography. When I am not shooting, I am constantly reading photography books, blogs, and magazines in order to improve my craft.
I do not have an obsession with any particular photo subject. Though, I enjoy shooting travel, landscape, pets, and most recently... people. It don't usually care what the subject matter is. It only matters that I can communicate to the viewer an emotion or a story with the visual language.
