Paul Richard James
by Selected Work 1988-2010
About the Book
This book includes the artwork of the Welsh born Canadian Artist Paul Richard James.
The artwork of Paul Richard James is both traditional and radical, in style and content. His interest lies in the bridge between the digital and the organic.
James's “Lilly” series investigates the relationship between the pixel and the brush stroke through large scale oil paintings which mimic digital imagery. His “Seduction” series focuses upon the female gaze in fashion periodicals; combining female models and a painterly surface. This retrospective includes selected paintings, sculpture, installation work, street art, and mixed media pieces produced between 1988-2010.
