About the Book
The photographs on these pages are my way of sharing some of the scenic beauty of Colorado, focusing on the Southwestern section of the state. More specifically they were taken around Telluride, Aspen, Ridgway and along “The Million Dollar Highway” (Hwy 550). Dramatic colors are the signature of a diverse landscape on the Western Slope of the Continental Divide. There are more than 8 million acres of National Forest wilderness brimming with abundant wildlife, rivers and lakes. The intense seasonal changes put on a breathtaking show throughout the year. It is a photographer’s dreamscape.
