About the Book
In 2000, we moved into an apartment on Henry Street in Brooklyn with a tiny kitchen. This binder is a record of what James and I made there in those good years. It became a scrapbook of the fads we went through, from localvore to Mexican, from homesick for New Orleans to anticipating New York's seasons, from countless dinner parties to salad days.
By the time we left in 2009, the binder was falling apart, and so was the kitchen. In order to preserve the memories these recipes contain, I've scanned every page and rebound them here. The recipes are not in chronological order, nor have they all been tested, but I hope you will have as much fun with this collection as I have had making it all over again.
