A collection of Will Tenney's photographs of New England road-side motel signs, iconic examples of the "modern style" of the 1940s, 50s, and 60s.
Will Tenney grew up in Berkeley, California, and as a child of 7 was given a Kodak Brownie camera by his father, San Francisco Bay Area photographer Thos Tenney. In high school his father gave Will an old Leica camera, and even though it scratched every frame on every roll, having a 35mm camera was a real breakthrough for him. Since 2002 he has shot completely digitally, currently using a Canon 50D.
