Shot From The Hip
by Gary Cohen
A collection of photos shot mainly on the streets of London with nothing more than an Apple iPhone 4.
Some really great photographs here, but the book is badly edited. Some of the work tries to reproduce other artists, like Elliot Erwin or Walker Evans, but without matching their quality or adding anything new. This is a shame because some of the photos, like the first one, really do show that the photographer has the ability to make the picture their own in a most satisfying way.Having said all that, I look forward to seeing more work from this artist.

love the idea of your project. it gives you so much freedom and the fact that you are not interfiering with their stories/lives, etc makes it unique! brilliant work!
