I've always found people to be the best photographs to make. People are the reason cameras were invented. We have always wanted to document ourselves, somewhere at some place. The camera allows us to do that.
For me photography captures emotion, feeling, time, beauty. It works on many levels, it inspires, it can make you sad, it can tell you a story.
At Cuetoimages portraiture provides both a challenge and an incentive to create beauty, to find that moment, the one that you understand, the one that you feel at the bottom of your belly.
This is a collection of photographs is a collaboration with Anick Gervais in November 2010.
My initial shoot was in the studio. I sought to add more flavour to the pictures, we took it outside a week later and added some different light.
