This is the catalogue of the exhibition "Jazz between Europe and America", held at the Lugano Biblioteca Cantonale in January-April 2011, and organized by Luca Cerchiari.
In the exhibition, with the photos of European and American jazz musicians of the '60s, by Roberto Polillo, were shown books, records, photos and documents from the archives of Arrigo Polillo and Luca Cerchiari, that here are not reproduced.
Texts by Luca Cerchiari are in Italian.

I was born in Milano in 1946. My passions are computer software, photography, travel and visual arts. As a (very) young men, I photographed the jazz masters of the 1960s. These images have been published in a book (Swing, Bop & Free, 2006, Marco Polillo Editore), and shown in many personal exhibitions in Italy. You can see them on flickr at www.flickr.com/photos/robertopolillo. A few years ago I came back to photography, and went digital. Some of these later works can be seen on my other flickr page, in http://www.flickr.com/photos/rpolillo/.
