The photographer-writer lived with his wife in Spain for a year during 1958-59, and then returned for a month-long visit in 1999. This book captures in more than 125 images the architecture, landscapes, people, and culture of Spain during those two eras. The emphasis is on Granada, Sevilla, Malaga, and Madrid, but the book also covers Segovia, Avila, Toledo, Salamanca, Caceres, Merida, and Cordoba.

The photographer-writer has exhibited his photographs in many solo exhibits, and images in this book have earned him many awards.

Bob Parker has exhibited his photography in New Jersey and Manhattan, often with his wife Margot, and has written extensively for consumer, business and specialized magazines. Publications he has edited have earned national regognition, and his photographs have also earned numerous national awards. His writing covers literature, travel, finance, and the arts, while his photography ranges from architecture to scenics, always featuring simplicity and natural light.
Parker's photography has been reviewed and featured in Newark's The Star-Ledger, the Trenton Times, and other publications. His articles have appeared in The New York Times, Caribbean Travel and Life, America, The Critic, Communication Arts, Business Finance, the OAS magazine Amerias, Navigante, the Miami Herald, and other publications.
